With more than a hundred active members, The Confrérie du Sabre D’Or represents the interests of the Brotherhood with new openings of caveaux in prestigious establishments throughout the United States.
Several cellars were recently created: two in California and one in New Orleans. The latter is in the celebrated French restaurant Brennan’s whose wine list includes selections from more than 300 Champagne houses, from the most famous to the more modest.
The US Embassy also attended a reception at the French Embassy in Washington D.C., where Daryl Gugig, representing the Confrérie in New York, demonstrated several saberings. The United States Confrérie also had the privilege of awarding Honorary Member to Mrs. Vitalie Taittinger, Communications Director of the eponymous house, because of her ongoing involvement in the promotion of Champagne in the world and especially in the United States.
The distinction of Master Saber was presented to Jordane Andrieu, director of Fine Wines Heritage Restaurant located in Beverly Hills, who was inducted along with several other Knights Saber at the opening of the Caveau in his establishment on June 9.
